Today, I have made my 6000th official post (I don't remember how many exactly since the old software system counted deleted posts while this one does not and that a few posts mysteriously disappeared). Here it is in the "Thankful November Anime Shopping (Anime DVDs & Blu-Rays for November)" thread.

So with this post, I am now officially a Buster Machine Pilot. This puts me about a year away from my custom title and 8000th post. And coming soon, I will have the image of my post right after hitting 6000. |

As Thanksgiving approaches, CNNSI and other sports sites have their opinions on who is the big turkey of the year. These are the guys, teams, or something else that have been a negative influence to their sport, whether it be through conduct problems on or off the field, bad performance, or for being a nuisance. Anyway, here are my top 10.
10. Washington Natinals
They have been bad all of last year that they are in a position to have two phenoms on their roster pretty soon. And it got so bad that somebody left out the "o" in Nationals on their jersey.
9. New York Knicks and New Jersey Nets
These two go together since both NY area teams have been awful. The Nets have yet to win a game, and the Knicks haven't been much better, still hoping that they can get Lebron to the Big Apple.
8. Dan Snyder, owner, Washington Redskins
The Redskins Faithful are fed up with this guy making all of these dumb roster moves. He overpays big name players who are over the hill, and then he scares off potential coaches that Jim Zorn ended up being hired. And then banning signs from FedEx Field so that fans cannot express their own frustrations was going over the line.
7. Manny Ramirez, outfielder, Los Angeles Dodgers
When you get suspended for having a banned substance in your system, then you know you have tainted the game.
6. Eric Mangini, head coach, and Randy Lerner, owner, Cleveland Browns
These go together since Lerner didn't do his homework about this guy who had shown in NY that he can't coach. Then Mangini does a lot of things to sabotage their season calling out Browns fans to not show up during the opening kickoff at a Monday Night game that did not come to fruition.
5. Alex Rodriguez, shortstop, New York Yankees
It was only a matter of time before we knew something was up with A-Roid and low and behold, he said he took steroids. Now he is added to the lost list of sluggers who have tainted the game.
4. Tom Cable, head coach, Oakland Raiders
It's one thing to be a bad coach. It's another when you apparently punch somebody on your coaching staff and abuse a former girlfriend. He would have been fired a long time ago, except that his boss is Al Davis. What Al wants in a head coach is that he listens to him.
3. Plaxico Burress, wide receiver, formerly of the New York Giants
How stupid can you get when you shot yourself in the leg at a night club? Well, something must be up because that gun was illegally possessed and it ends up sending him to jail for two years.
2. LeGarrette Blount, runningback, University of Oregon
You don't ever sucker punch anybody. It does not matter that somebody was taunting you. There are much better ways of solving this.
1. The Refs
The refs are the top turkey and this applies to all sports. In baseball, blowing several calls in the postseason in inexcusable. There is a reason why they were chosen to officiate these games. In the SEC, the refs were blowing calls left and right that the coaches are getting fined to get their message accross. And in soccer, missing a blatant handball will incur the wrath of an entire nation. |

After some self-examination, I've determined that I tend to joke around a bit. Perhaps to excess.
And so, I'm going to do something that I've done before, years ago. I am going to attempt to go 24 hours without telling a single joke, making a pun, or any verbal humorous construction of any kind. I'm going to be as serious as a heart attack for a whole day.
...I won't make it for fifteen minutes, I'll bet. |

Ah, yes, there are still many series left for me to purchase over time. Which means I should go ahead and make a decision as to what the next purchase will be. So let's watch as I go through the thought process.
I could go ahead and spend $60 in order to get the two volumes of Kannagi that I've been putting off. Maybe even get the T-Shirt.
Or alternatively I could go ahead and go for part 1 of Clannad After Story. Start making progress in that finally.
Wait, there's that GA: Geijutsuka Art Design Class Music Palette CD to get. Yet importing a single item by itself seems like a bad. So I'd need to decide what else to get with it. I guess, there's always the idea of other music CDs.
Never mind the biggest problem aside from deciding what to add is always a case of "Sure, I'm saving on shipping, but I'm still increasing the over all cost" and "I can't keep delaying this forever".
Speaking of importing and GA: Geijutsuka Art Design Class, maybe I should actually get started on the R2s. Not like it will ever be licensed. Then again, there's still the matter of the other two series based on 4-Koma involving female art students.
Ah, yes, so much to decide between and you know what the best part is? No matter what decision I ultimately make it will cause a massive delay to everything else. The more expensive the decision the stronger the delay.
And the point all this rambling is to say that I now fully understand why the decision of what to purchase, when to purchase, and how to purchase can be such a headache.
I've come to the conclusion that I have two solutions. The first is to find a pot of gold. The second is to become one of those people that enjoys hating stuff. The third is to only like series that have a chance of being licensed. The fourth is to realize that I can't count. |

| Paris’s Method Animation is rendering the classic novel of Antoine de Saint-Exupery THE LITTLE PRINCE back to television.
